Chicken pie is amazing, food tastes great and the price is decent. Has a nice, old-school atmosphere, even with the traditional open-casing wiring! Also, free Wi-Fi is available.

Centrally located in town. Easy to park. Food was really good. Tried their claypot tofu, kailan and salted egg chicken. Air conditioned place, very comfy but I wish they have chairs with back rest. Service was top notch, friendly and attentive waiting staff. 20pct discount on weekdays.

Restored restaurant and the Hainanese chicken chop is big portion ! No crowd at 7pm.

Visited the Bar at night. The bar opens from 600pm to 1200am. Very nice place to hang out with friends, historic building for almost 100 years. Had some wedges and beer.

Loved this place and everything historic about it. Great food in a nice ambience. My only beef was that they ran out of Bengali bread which is their signature thing - so I had to do without, so a bit disappointed. Child friendly and a decent selection of food. Go for breakfast as that seems to be the best for the type of food they serve. I never have more than one cup of coffee but it was so good I just had to have two.

Great Hainanese cuisine! The restored building is simply magnificent. There's a bar with live music on the top floor. Get to the balcony and have a good street view overlooking Komtar.

After full restoration in year 2012, the legendary Hainanese restaurant is under new management since mid 2016 promising same nostalgic dining environment, better Hainanese food. The cafe opened as early as 8:30am for breakfast. Lunch menu is served from 11:30am onward. Chicken Chop is a must-try.
